Nina Hsu is a leading expert on U.S. - China trade policies, with years of on-the-ground experience living and working in China to advise Fortune 500 companies, Government officials and trade associations.
With expertise in international trade regulatory challenges, including export controls, import requirements, standards conformity, and other market access issues, Nina is known for bringing innovative solutions and providing honest assessments to clients. In her position as Partner and Senior Vice President of Larkin Trade International, Nina has provided strategies for companies in the aviation, information technology, and high tech manufacturing sectors. She works effectively with major multinational corporations that require savvy in navigating internal communication channels, while also helping small businesses by leveraging her experience facing the challenges of growing a company.
Nina has served as an advisor to the American Chamber of Commerce in China’s Export Compliance Working Group, where she crafted strategies for engagement with the U.S. and Chinese Governments. Prior to her move to China and private business, Nina gained experience in the government at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Seattle advising the U.S. Department of Energy on Chinese energy strategy and industrial development.
Now serving on the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, Nina is taking a principal role in the development and execution of the Chamber’s trade and investment policy advocacy. She is also leveraging her role as co-chair of the Chamber’s Women’s Professional Committee to weave the support of professional Chinese and American Women into the broader U.S.-China policy agenda.
Nina obtained her B.A. in Political Science with honors from Stanford University and her M.B.A. from Rutgers University. Nina is a native English speaker, fluent in Mandarin Chinese with a working knowledge of French.
