Liu Xiao joined LTI Associates in June of 2007 and is our Standards & Certification Director responsible for the Chinese Standards & Certification portfolio. Working from LTI’s Beijing office, she is in charge of following and addressing technical working standards in China. Liu Xiao has a complete understanding of standards development, implementation, and enforcement in China and an excellent relationship with the various Chinese agencies and industry associations involved in Chinese standards. Her work to date has included representing clients in standards working groups in various sectors including information technology, environmental protection, and information security field. Liu Xiao has also assisted clients in meeting Chinese standards requirements and obtaining Chinese certifications and standards related import licenses such as the China Compulsory Certificate (CCC) mark and CECP Label from the China Certification Center for Energy Conservation Products. Liu Xiao has also provided assistance in LTI’s other specialty areas such as Customs, export controls and market research.

Prior to joining LTI, Liu Xiao worked as a reporter at China Machinist Metal Cutting Magazine Agency. Her duties there included collecting data on the machine industry, editing advertisements, writing articles, maintaining relationships with clients, and formulating marketing strategies. The Gallup Organization also previously employed Liu Xiao where she served as a supervisor of advertising and customer satisfaction.

Liu Xiao has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, where she majored in advertising. Her studies included marketing, brand strategy management, communications, art design, and a host of other fields. Liu Xiao also held the position of Student Union Minister in the Art Department of Publishing and Management. She has excellent communication skills, and she speaks, reads, and writes English and Mandarin Chinese.
